Lowering Costs for Families
Families in East San José are being squeezed by rising housing costs, childcare expenses, and utility bills. Nora Campos will fight to lower everyday costs by supporting affordable childcare, fair utility rates, and local job creation. She believes families should be able to live, work, and raise children without being priced out of their own community.

Public Safety & Quality of Life
Every resident deserves to feel safe in their neighborhood. Nora will work to strengthen community policing, support youth violence-prevention programs, and ensure first responders have the staffing and resources they need. She will also prioritize cleaner streets by addressing illegal dumping, blight, and neglected infrastructure.
Housing
Housing for Every Income Level: San José needs a housing strategy that reflects the reality of its residents. Nora supports building homes at every income level — from affordable housing for low-income families to workforce and middle-income housing for teachers, nurses, and first responders. She will fight to preserve existing affordable housing, strengthen renter protections, prevent displacement, and ensure new development includes real community benefits.

Homelessness
Compassionate, Effective Solutions to Homelessness: Nora believes homelessness must be addressed with urgency, dignity, and accountability. She supports expanding mental health and addiction treatment, increasing supportive and transitional housing, and coordinating services to move people off the streets and into stability. At the same time, she will work to keep neighborhoods clean, safe, and accessible for everyone.

Seniors & Childcare
Nora is committed to making San José a city that supports every generation. She will expand access to affordable childcare so parents can work without fear of losing their paycheck to daycare costs. For seniors, she will support housing options, in-home care services, and programs that allow residents to age with dignity and independence.

Smarter, More Efficient Government
City Hall should work for residents — not the other way around. Nora will push to streamline permitting, modernize city services, and ensure taxpayer dollars are spent transparently and effectively. She believes in accountability, measurable results, and putting neighborhood needs first.
